Together We Can Do More

We use the Arts as a development tool to enable our children develop emotionally, socially and intellectu-ally. Rena Le Lona is founded on research proving that participating in Arts results in a child releasing emotional or physical trauma, gain self-confidence, understands him/herself, is able to express him/herself, can choose a vocation and become compassionate to others.

A Creative Centre offers children with various crea-tive disciplines and art forms which provides them with the opportunity to explore their artistic side and delve into activities outside their daily routine and duties. Our programmes expose the children to a vari-ety of teachers, trainers and care workers that provide children with the necessary guidance and skills devel-opment. The positive relationships they develop with their care workers have a powerful influence on their attitudes throughout their lives.

A creative centre offers the children various creative disciplines in a form of the Arts. It provides them with the opportunity to explore their artistic talents. They develop their imagination through activities that combine creativity with intellect. Through drama, dance, art, music and writing children explore both their positive and painful experiences, in the process learn to integrate their emotions into their lives. In accessing their imagination, they generate ideas, work with others and create a future for themselves.

The staff complement consists of fulltime per-sonnel, volunteers and freelancers who work tirelessly to meet the emotional, social, and in-tellectual needs of our beneficiaries. Children are taught arts by volunteer teachers as our Arts programme currently has no funding.
